Offer of ICCR Scholarships under the General Scholarship Scheme (A1201) for the Academic Year 2018-19
Indian Council of Cultural Relations (ICCR), New Delhi invites applications from Greek Citizens for ONE scholarship under the General Scholarship Scheme (A1201) for the academic year 2018-19. The details of the scholarship may be seen on the link The salient features of the Scheme are as under:
1. Under this scheme we are offering scholarships at undergraduate/postgraduate levels and for pursuing research to foreign students belonging to Asian and Latin American Countries. 2. The applications will be accepted online only through the portal The applicants are required to register (signup) themselves on the portal before filling up of application.
3. Applicants are advised to exercise due diligence and research on the specific admission criteria laid down by various Universities for each subject, and ensure that they submit all relevant documentation as required by the Universities in addition to the basic certificates mentioned in the applications form, for this they may refer to the Universities handbook/University Grants Commission’s website and the concerned Institute’s website for eligibility criterial.
4. The Council does not arrange admission in Medical/Paramedical/fashion courses, hence no application should be made for such courses.
5. Only students who reach 18 years of age by July, 2018 are eligible for apply.
6. Only students who have proficiency in English are eligible. This is a mandatory requirement.
7. Please note that for the science courses, the expenditure on laboratory chemicals and other related incidental charges will be borne by the scholars themselves.
8. In order to ensure security of the foreign students, Council has decided to make it compulsory for all ICCR sponsored to stay inside hostel. Not student will be allowed to stay in private accommodations as per the amended policy of the Council.
9. The applicant should be physical fit and must not be suffering from life threatening illness or any other medical condition requiring long term treatment.
10. Last date of submission of application is 28 February, 2018.
