1. The third Mini-PBD is scheduled to be held at the ‘World Forum’ in The Hague on Saturday, 19 September 2009.
2. The one-day event is being organized in partnership with the Municipality of The Hague and the Embassy of India. The other organizations involved in organizing the event are the Foundation for Critical Choices for India (FCCI), the Netherlands India Association (NIA), the Netherlands Chapter of GOPIO, UJALA Association of Surinamese people and EEKTA Association of Surinamese people.
3. The Convention is expected to bring together the overseas Indian community in Europe on a common platform to discuss the role of the Indian diaspora in enhancing Indo-European cooperation; the opportunities and challenges faced by them in the fields of culture, heritage & tradition; as also the trade and investment opportunities available to them in the land of their ancestors. Apart from some high dignitaries from the Netherlands and India, prominent members of the Indian diaspora in Europe are expected to take part in this one-day event. The Convention will also provide an opportunity for networking to the participants.
